Certificate of Conformation Assessment-CCA

The CCA provides the owner with a chance to demonstrate their dog’s qualities in a relaxed environment (dogs are expected to be casually groomed and handled). The owners receive both verbal and written feedback from the evaluator, and evaluations are confidential. The dog receives a numerical score based on the breed standard, and those that score above a 75 are granted the “Certificate of Conformation Assessment,” which can be put on the dog’s AKC record. The CCA is open to all Golden Retrievers 18 months or older (intact or spayed/neutered) who are AKC-registered or listed with the Purebred Alternative Listing.

NEXT CCA WILL BE HELD IN 2026.

Eye and Heart Clinic
10/26/25

Our annual eye clinic will be conducted by Dr. Thomas Kern,  and we would like to welcome back Dr. Eva Oxford for our  heart clinic again this year!  We will provide a microchip reader.

“Cleared” dogs will be eligible for CERF/OFA-ECR registration (but you MUST have your dog’s AKC registration number available to be recorded at the exam).  We will do our best to schedule you according to your requested time, but please allow some flexibility, especially if you are bringing multiple dogs.  Plan to arrive at least 20 minutes early to allow for the administration of eye drops.  You will be notified ONLY in the event that we can’t accommodate your requested appointment time
