We hope you enjoy your visit and that what you find here is useful. Our club, founded in 1981, and incorporated in 1983, is dedicated to protecting and advancing the interests of the Golden Retriever by promoting responsible ownership and breeding.
We are licensed by the American Kennel Club, and are a member of the Golden Retriever Club of America.
If you live in the Central region of New York State and you are owned by a Golden Retriever, or are looking to have one join your family, and you are interested in learning more about caring for, training, showing, and/or just enjoying your dog, then we invite you to consider joining with us.
Thank you for your interest in our club and activities!
Our club is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the Golden Retriever.
We strive to uncover answers to some of the medical concerns that commonly affect the breed by participating in the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study sponsored by the Morris Animal Foundation.
We also have created a lecture series given by Veterinarians and Professionals within the Canine Community that emphasizes the bond we have with our Goldens.
We engage in numerous services and activities such as field, conformation, dock diving, and agility that allow our Goldens to shine.
We also sponsor events like Specialty and WC/WCX that give us the opportunity to show how talented the Golden Retriever is.
Our club is also proud to endorse and support the work of the Golden Retriever Rescue of Central New York, Inc., as a independent full service rescue and adoption program serving our region.
